Variables
Creating initialisation variables
Create a new initialisation variable
With the next steps we provide a table with an initialisation variable that is not yet existing.
- Start with Open table properties. It appears with tab General.
- Click button New Variable. Variable properties appear.
- Enter all properties needed. It cannot be a display variable. Inference from Subtable is not possible.
- Click Save Changes of variable properties.
- Click Save Changes of table properties.
Insert one or more initialisation variables
- Start with Open table properties. It appears with tab General.
- Click Insert Variable. A list with all standard variables appears.
- Select a variable, or select more variables. The latter is done by holding down the command key (Mac) or control key (Windows) and click more variables.
- Click Insert.
- Click Save Changes of table properties.
Insert frames containing initialisation variables
A frame is an ordered collection of variables. It can be used to have its variables as initialisation variables of a table. Do the steps of the section above, but click Insert Frame. Only one frame at a time can be inserted.
Change the order of initialisation
The initialisation variables are inferred in the order of the list. The order is probably essential in the logic of the knowledge base. To change the order, click a variable in the list. Hold down the mouse button and drag it up or down. Always end by clicking Save Changes.
