Create a condition

To create a condition, perform the following actions:

  1. Select where in the table you want to create the new condition. You select a condition by clicking the condition number at the left. Alternatively you can select the condition subject by clicking it.
  2. From the main menu choose New > Condition > Insert Before or Insert After. The new condition will be inserted before or after the condition you selected. The new condition will be inserted before or after the condition you selected.
    • Alternatively you can use the keyboard. Hit key Insert (Windows) or command-I (Mac OS X) to insert a condition after the selected condition. Hit key shift-Insert (Windows) or command-shift-I (Mac OS X) to insert a condition before.
  3. Give the condition a name by selecting the subject cell and typing the name. Confirm by pressing Enter on the keyboard. Now you are ready to create alternatives for your new condition.

When naming a condition, a standard variable will be created, corresponding to the name of the condition.
