Delete a formula

In order to keep the integrity of your knowledge base intact, the Match Developer will not allow a formula to be deleted if it is being used in the system. To delete such a formula it must first be disconnected from all use in the knowledge base, i. e. it must be replaced in or deleted from all the tables it occurs in. If the formula is used as an inference method for a variable it is sufficient to disable that alternative.

If a formula is unused it is indicated ‘Lost’ in the navigator tab Formulas. After you select it, these are the ways to delete.

1. Choose Edit > Delete.
2. Right-click and choose Delete.
3. Press the Backspace key.
