Inference Method Formula MD3

The variable must be domain type Number Length or Number List.

1. Open the variable properties.
2. Select tab Consultation.
3. Go to section Inference Method.
4. In the list select Formula.
5. A label Use formula appears and a combobox with downward arrow. Click it.
6. A list with all formulas in the knowledge model appears. Click one to choose.
7. Sub-section Arguments appears. You see labeled the formal arguments specified in the formula. Each argument has an input field. For each do one of the next.
   • Type a literal number.
   • Type a reference to a variable like VALUE(variablename). (To implement: right-click get list)

Please check if other inference methods are specified. It is quite possible that 'Ask user' is activated as well. With inference method Formula following we create a "Help me answer" construct. If not desired, click 'Ask user' to disable it.
