Link Domain Elements to Frame MD3

This feature only applies to Text List and Number List variables. It requires the presence of a frame, preferably complete: all rows have a variable. Some of them are primary key.

The frame must have objects. The objects best be filled with values. When these are displayed, we see a collection of values under each variable name. We call it informally a "column of values". They can become domain elements of a linking variable. For frame and objects see these pages on category Frames.

Create link to frame

In Inspector with the variable properties, section Link domain elements do the next:

1. Click the combobox Frame. Select the desired frame.
2. Under it is a combobox Variable. Click it. A list appears with the variables of the frame. Select one.

As a result, the "column of values" is displayed in the variable's list Detailed domain specs. They are shaded, so not modifiable. (TODO IMPLEMENT).

Remove link to frame

Click the combobox Frame. The list of frames appears, but the first item is empty. Select that item.
