Edit Variable Properties tab Consultation MD3
The properties in tab Consultation determine the variable's behaviour in a Player.
Type a phrase in Question. Choose to terminate it with a question mark, or not. The Question is displayed in the Player when the variable is inferred. You can keep the question empty. In that case the variable name is displayed with a question mark.
You can optionally enter a text for Explanation. When it is non-empty, the Player will show an icon being a circle with character "i". The icon can be clicked to see the explanation text.
A text field Default Value is present, only for a variable type Text Length or Number Length. You can optionally enter a text. It will be checked against the variable domain. For a Number Length it must be a number. Entering a default value enables the inference method "Default". The user can disable or enable it.
Goal in table is a combobox. You can click it and select a table from the list. The table has the variable in an action subject. Thus it becomes a 'goal' of the knowledge model. An alternative way to manage a KB goal is described in category Tables.
Checkbox Sensitive data can be set. When ON, a typed answer in the Player will be hidden. All characters can become asterisks *****, as often applied for passwords. (STILL TO IMPLEMENT).
For each variable type there is a list Inference Methods in tab Consultation. See the pages on inference methods.
