Variables MD3

Add Alternative to Domain, Extend Domain MD3

Add Alternative to Domain

When you design tables, you may have entered a new alternative which is not already in the domain of the variable.

Right-click the newly added alternative and select Add alternative to domain. In Inspector tab Specification you see it now in Detailed domain specs.

In a table's condition alternative you could as well enter more new alternatives, eg. certain OR probable. Right-click and select Add alternative to domain. Both certain and probable are domain elements now.

This is only possible for variable domain type Text List or Number List. For Number List the new alternative(s) must be numerical.

Extend Domain

For variables of type Number Length it is possible to extend the domain based on changes made to the variable alternatives in a table.

The new alternative must be a number. Right-click it and select Extend domain. In Inspector tab Specification you see an Interval boundary ('From' or 'To') changed.

In a table's condition alternative you could as well enter more new alternatives, eg. 4.5 OR 7.2. right-click and select Extend domain. The interval boundaries ('From' and/or 'To') will be changed to include both 4.5 and 7.2.

THIS MUST BE FIXED IN CURRENT MD3. Also investigate this function when in the table are equality operators < > <= >=.
