Edit Cell MD3
Cells of a table are the parts of the table described elsewhere. They are one of the next:
- condition subject
- condition alternative
- action subject
- action value
An Edit Cell window opens by one of these activities:
- Double-click the cell
- With the cell selected, press key Enter
- With the cell selected, type the first character to enter
The appearing Edit Cell window (edit window) varies with the context of the cell. Here is an enumeration of the shapes and functions it can have.
Subject, empty or with variable. It has a simple edit window to enter a single text line without line breaks or attributes. The name of a new or existing variable can be typed, or a keyword construct such as MEMBER...
Condition alternative with Number Length variable in subject. The edit window has a bigger text area and accepts line breaks. Therefore press key shift-Enter. With comboboxes, named Operators and Functions, details can be entered to edit expressions for calculation. You can click option Insert variable. Then a list with search facility appears to insert a VALUE reference of a valid variable.
Condition alternative with in subject a variable of another type. It has a simple edit window to enter a single text line without line breaks or attributes. You can click option Insert variable. Then a list with search facility appears to insert a VALUE reference of a valid variable.
Action value with in subject a Text Length variable or keyword SHOW. The edit window is large and has two tabs. With tab Specification selected, literal text can be entered. With tab Consultation selected, the text can be enriched in style and layout. You can choose Font, Size, bold, underscore, italic and more.

Editing of a cell is completed and saved by clicking button Ok or pressing key Enter. Button Cancel is to keep the cell unchanged.
