Performance and User Concurrency Improvements

The Inference Machine has been adapted to use less memory during processing of knowledge bases. This has increased the total number of possible concurrent users and overall performance of the Match™ Enterprise Web Player. Actual performance improvements will also still depend other factors such as network and other environment factors.

Customizable User Interfaces

The user interface (UI) of a knowledge base application (KBA) was previously defined in a properties file and configurable by an administrator. Now some of the settings of the KBA UI can be configured by each KBA manager at the KBA level. See User Interface Settings.

Security Updates

Improved filtering on values being used in queries at the web player application level to help prevent SQL injection attacks.

Enhanced the MEWP XML parser to disable DTDs.

Javascript is now also prevented from being executed in the Summary Panel.

Other Technical Improvements

  • Parsing non compliant html image tag in the explanation fields is managed
  • Document and email extensions work with variables which allow "empty set"
  • Checkbox labels are responsive
  • Download buttons include margins
  • Avoid cache issue for JS and CSS files when deploying updates

What's New in Match Enterprise Application Manager

User Interface Settings

There are more settings in the Knowledge Base Application configuration screen. Now, you can customize each Knowledge Base Application user interface in different ways. The options to choose from include; position of question text and input field, number of columns, type of input fields, hide / show answers, and explanation (tooltip) behavior.

When clicking on the "Show advanced settings..." link, additional settings are displayed.

Widgets

In addition, we moved the Summary, Bookmark and Pause consultation settings to the Widgets menu.

Template and Resource Files

We have improved the template interface by separating the type of templates. It's now separated in "Document", "Email", "Bookmark", and "Feedback".
